This is what I was wondering after reading an article about this on the newspaper.

Yes it does. I live near Yosemite and people come from all over the world to visit. It's a pig sty and and embarassment to our country.

Yes, of course. There are piles and piles of trash all over because no one is there to take it away and all the trash cans have overflowed. You can't get into the restrooms and sometimes you can't even get into the parks themselves. This is only one small part of the government shutdown.

You still have newspapers??

Yes, it affected them big-time, mostly by way of trash piling up. Volunteer groups have been helping pick up the trash.

Yes National Parks employees are, mostly, furloughed. Some of the parks are still open but without staffing and access to facilities,

I don't know but I would assume so. I would assume national parks are federally-regulated and -staffed.
