Is it safe to cook a ham and a turkey joint in a slow cooker, tin foil wrapped seperately ?

As long as you make sure the total cook time is long enough to cook the turkey completely through - then it should be fine. I wouldn't use foil though. I would use bags made for use in slow cookers instead.

Of course its safe, why on earth wouldn't it be?? In fact, you could skip wrapping separately and it would still be safe.
You intend to cook them to 165 degrees, right?
There are also recipes that mix different kinds of meat that are made all the time.

Check that you get the temperature right and you should be O.K.

Never been a fan about cooking food in tin foil in a crockpot. Can you do it? Yes.

Never tried it. But I'd skill the foil part as others have suggested.

I wouldn't risk it - you might find that they start fighting with each other.

Probably OK.

lose the foil and make sure both are cooked to the recommended temp.

You can and it would be safe, but something I sure would not do and not going to make a lot of difference if wrapped or not.

As long as BOTH cuts of meat are cooked to the proper temperature, there's nothing wrong with it.
